Seed!

By Audio Pervert - 12/18/2021

Converging at a personal and collective level, a group of artists, innovators and pros from India are planting new seeds of transition. Building a new experience, call it a direction, that combines music, autonomy and ecology. The objective is to empower young artists and innovators from India. An outcome of shared visions and resources, enabling transition and transformation. Begin to imagine and build resilient progressive ecosystems. Welcome to SEED! by Applied Sound & Ecology(A.S.E)

The question you may be asking is Why? Young people in India, numbering millions, across disciplines and professions are increasingly aware of the grave risks posed by global warming, climate change and industrial civilization. Yet, they are also the first to face the challenges and opportunities of the 'very near' future. Be the 'progressives ones' who transition towards new sustainable lifestyles, careers and culture. In India, there is tremendous scope for positive change and transition, if we create access to education, resources and autonomy. Learning to think, adapt and act beyond the limits of the dominant culture. Mirroring the rise of international movements and think-tanks, based on shared visions, the co-founders of SEED are proposing a clear path (experience) to begin with. It reads - "Lets amplify objective knowledge and skills. Differentiate between emerging ideas and practices. Use scientific info to empower your decision making"

Is it for you? Yes. As artists and creators, we are obligated to envision that future where awareness, ecology and technology play a vital role in shaping our collective imagination and output. Consequently govern our individual actions, lifestyle and culture. The residency aims to host a diverse group of participants, practitioners and experts in 2022, in India. At SEED, knowledge is open-source created by a pool of 'Thought Leaders'. The online version offers step-by-step modules to all participants. The introduction encourages participants to choose their focus and trajectory. The modules contain peer-reviewed essays, lectures, info-graphs, stories and presentations: together stacking up to about 100 hours of learning! Absolutely free. Sign up and start learning. And tell a friend about it?

A bit of Pro-Feedback? At the onset of the idea, we began asking for feedback from a wide range of people in terms of their profession, background, skills, vision and experience. The idea began to resonate and evolve, via environmentalists, ecologists, activists, professionals from the music industry, indie musicians, mental health experts and even Bollywood icons. "I feel SEED is forward motion, a direction for learning, regeneration and evolution. A way to reach continuously towards a better self. I believe that, artists, professionals and innovators also need progressive insight and knowledge." says Vishal Dadlani, Bollywood composer. Award winning writer and environmentalist Derrick Jensen reacted rather poignantly by saying "Seed is doing vital work, precisely the sort of work we all need to do if we are to survive. My best wishes to this new effort". Emerging lifestyle expert, disruptor and co-founder of Warrior4Elements, Aliki Ko adds by saying "Nature has always been my source of inspiration. Hence, I love that SEED connects one of the most influential human creations - Music, to nature (Ecology)..." The message and branding created by A.S.E mirrors simplicity and efficiency. "The website we created for SEED is all under 15MB! The ecology and economy of less data, quick learning and more room for new feelings." says BIRDHOUSE Design.

SEED is a tiny but resolute progressive step forward. We stimulate (urge) you to pick up the first seeds and augment the effort!
