Roland Kovac ( born 7th November 1927 in Vienna ) is an Austrian jazz musician, with a vast repertoire on piano , clarinet and saxophone. Further dwelling into abstract composition and synthesis, Roland developed a niche for creating classically emotive electronic music, in an age where synthesizers were just about becoming comprehensible to the musical crowds. In 1980, Roland released Computer on the label - (Selected Sound MUSIKVERLAG - Hamburg DE). Completely designed and composed with analog synthesizers and sequencers, this album is rare and exceptional in terms of early electronic music and the audio adventures concocted by Kovac alone. A strong foundation based on the classical and jazz rudiments can be felt through the contrasting and dynamic synthesizer based performances - yet remaining totally minimal and modal in nature.
