Joshua Milton Blahyi (born in 1971), better known by his nom de guerre General Butt Naked, was a former commander for the Liberian warlord Roosevelt Johnson, in the First Liberian Civil War. He quickly rose to the ranks of a warlord in the 2nd Liberian Civil War. Blahvi was infamous for his fierce, violent, and often eccentric measures and policies in early-mid 1990s. Originally a tribal priest, around the 1st civil war in Liberia he converted to Christianity and eventually became a preacher. General Butt Naked belongs to the Blahyi tribe of Liberia  - Which is a subset of the Sarpo tribe in West Africa. At age 11, he claims, he was initiated as a tribal priest and participated in his first human sacrifice.

General Blahyi is known widely in Liberia and the western media, to lead his troops naked, into the battle fields and jungles ! Except for shoes and a gun. He believed that his nakedness was a source of protection from bullets. Blahyi now claims he would regularly sacrifice a victim before battle, saying, "Usually it was a small child, someone whose fresh blood would satisfy the devil ..."
